The Houston Canine Disc Club was excited to host a Skyhoundz DiscDogathon 2021 world qualifier on October 31, 2020, and an UpDog Challenge event on November 1, 2020. at The event will be held at Swanny’s Bar & Grill located at 6224 Theall Road, Houston, Texas. It was a family-friendly event with top handler and canine competitors.
Saturday’s Skyhoundz games included 5 games – Bullseye, Freestyle, Pairs D/A, Spot landing, and Time Trial with two world qualifying levels – normal and micro. Saturday evening there was a Howloween Canine Costume Contest. Sunday’s UpDog Challenge included 4 games – 4WayPlay, Greedy, Spaced Out, and Throw N Go.

Registration was open from October 13 through October 27, 2020. There was no on-site day-of-competition registration due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Registration was limited to the first 30 dogs per game, so make sure you register early. This allowed for all games to be completed each day.

The field was open for tent set-up on Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. All competitors needed to check in with security tent before proceeding to the field for ten set-up. Competitors answered a few COVID-19 questions and got their temperature checked.
